  1. Mix peanut butter, water, and margarine and bring to a rapid boil.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda. Pour into above mixture.
  3. Add eggs and buttermilk.
  4. Pour batter into a greased sheet cake pan.
  5. Bake at 350 F for 20-25 minutes.
  6. While baking, prepare frosting by bringing the margarine, peanut butter, and buttermilk to a rapid boil.
  7. Remove from heat and add the vanilla and powdered sugar. Mix well.
  8. Frost cake while frosting is still hot.
  9. Sprinkle crushed peanuts on top of soft frosting, if desired.
